Reflections (1)
Once it has all been dissected
It’s easy to see it’s all connected
I’ve peered through the lenses of darkness and light
I’ve made amends and been into fights
I’m dealing with my trauma, unraveling the knots
Setting aside my identity reveals inseparable dots
It is clear now; there is only one here
But, shedding the ego fills one with fear
What are we past the ideas we describe?
What was life before words were inscribed?
None of our ideas or stories
Meaning no fears or worries
You cannot fill a glass that’s already full
You think you are a drop, you are the pool
Empty yourself to be filled with truth
Utter not a word, silence is the proof
The world keeps spinning without thought
Revolving ecosystems with nothing being bought
Did you put in a lot of effort planning to get here?
Did you set up our perfectly conditioned sphere?
Perhaps you’re just a happening without a say
Perhaps your thoughts are getting in the way
What will you govern after you expire?
Light still burns from the sun's fire
Almost as if life is out of one’s control
one’s judgements need not be on patrol
Degrading I am aware this could seem
Promise my intentions are not to demean
However, when there is no self
Who is there to gain wealth
For when there is no identity
One is no longer an idea entity
When there is no I to who
Every-one gets some food
For when we are no longer separate
Individuals are no longer desperate
Suffering has taken its toll
But, we can be one whole
Consciousness is the key
It is in everything that we see
Some refer to it as spirit
Listen closely and you’ll hear it
Search for nothing but your soul
All else is merely fool’s gold
Matter cannot be created nor destroyed
Everlasting clay in an endless void
Atoms and elements make our composition
Living through forms in infinite positions
How many forms have our molecules already taken
How many shells has the spirit long since forsaken
When you look up at the sky
Remember that all ideas die
When you gaze into the stars
Remember that is what you are
