ABOUT THE ARTWORK:
The artwork is a product of existence. It comes as a result of being brought into this mysterious realm of life and facing all of the existential questions that come along with it. The artwork you see here is a reflection of the lessons learned in the search for understanding, purpose, and meaning in life. The artwork is an instrument designed to catalyze growth and unity. On the deepest level the artwork here symbolizes the eternal oneness of all things and hopes to spark appreciation for the divinity of being. the goal of this artwork is meant to make the observer feel unique, vital, in place, and in love with life. Given the drastic unlikeliness of every moment, I see everything as a miracle and seek to express the beauty of having a chance to be alive. It is my hope that the artwork here may provoke a deeper understanding and rich appreciation for the experience of life. For that is what art does for me.
MISSION STATEMENT:
My goal in this life is to live, learn, and love as much as possible. I seek to maximize the human experience while also using the knowledge I have obtained during my time here to benefit the elevation of human consciousness. My desire is to learn how to walk this Earth as an embodiment of compassion, kindness, and peace in an attempt to have my positive impact on the world outweigh the suffering that I emit. My will is to manifest my own fullest true expression in freedom and inspire others to do the same. I believe and encourage humanity’s ability to harness its maximum potential.
About the Artist:
Damon Gaige Leco currently resides in Westminster, CO. Damon received a Bachelor's Degree in Animation from Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri, graduating Summa Cum Laude. During his academic study, Damon’s focus was in storytelling, 2D hand-drawn animation, and illustration. In this time, Damon became knowledgeable and proficient in many skills such as character design, concept art, scriptwriting, 3D sculpting, and fine art. Since graduating from Webster University Damon’s art has taken an independent approach exploring philosophical, analytical, and spiritual understandings of life and the cosmos. The understanding of existence and consciousness is a never ending pursuit. Many hours have been dedicated to the consumption of different philosophical outlooks and spiritual understandings from most major cultures in history, as well as science. In the creation of his artwork, Damon pulls from all of these areas in addition to his own personal experience to provoke feeling and thought from the observer. The artwork is inspired by life, nature, music, the creators that have come before, and Love.
